A DWT (a.k.a. a pennyweight) is a standard measurement of how much a precious metal weighs. One ounce contains 20 pennyweights.
A spot price can be described as the existing market price a commodity has when delivered
immediately. With regard to the gold industry, a spot price is the amount that gold happens to
be trading for on a given day.

Big Cash for Gold does not buy loose gemstones. However, after assessing your item, the gemstone’s value may be added to the weight of your gold (e.g. a golden ring with a gemstone), increasing the amount we pay out to you. Additionally, Big Cash for Gold pays wholesale prices for diamonds and happily accepts them.

Yes, of course! With your Appraisal Kit, your merchandise will automatically be insured up to $5,000 in the event of loss or damage if you use the FREE FedEx® shipping label.
Up to $100,000 of additional coverage may be obtained if you believe your items are worth more. Prior to shipment of your items, you must contact Customer Service at (800) 337-7706, receive written approval (via email), and follow all instructions in the email (see Terms and Conditions).
Of course! We guarantee price matching if needed. In fact, we have the highest payouts in the
business. If a national online competitor offers you a better price ours, we will give you an extra
10% payout! (As far as offers of at least $1000 are concerned, the offer will be matched, and
you will be paid an extra $100).
Once we get your items, the appraisal kit’s contents will immediately be scanned into our system. You will then receive an email that acknowledges receipt of the package. The appraisal kit’s status can be tracked 24/7 on your account from the moment you send it out and all throughout its route. Our company’s kits are developed with security and safety in mind. They will contain bubble mailers and plastic bags that cushion materials. Big Cash for Gold does its best to ensure that our electronic modes of service are up, running,
and sending out information based upon the email addresses and phone numbers you provide
as a customer. If we see a lack in communication, we may call customers to ensure that they
have received our offer. However, once in a while, a customer might not receive our offer or
respond to it.
If we have not heard from you within 72 hours of sending our offer, then we will send out a
check to you for the offer’s amount as written. Your items will be held for a month (or until we
have record that you have cashed the check made out). If you are not satisfied with the amount
on your check, simply mail the check back to us and your items will be returned to you without
any hassle.

Nonetheless, our customers are very important to us. If you are not satisfied with the offer we
give you, simply decline it. Your items will be returned to you at no cost, no questions asked.

Yes, for sure! If you prefer to not wait for the appraisal kit to come in the mail, click on the link
that says “Print Out My Kit.” This will allow you to print out any materials you will need for your
own packaging, including a free shipping label from FedEx.
However, we do encourage our customers to use a FedEx box, which can be obtained for free
at all FedEx locations. With that being said, customers are still welcome to utilize their own
packaging if preferred.

The offer you get will be based on the current value of gold and diamonds on the market.
Therefore, the jewelry you send us should be left as is if they contain diamonds or other
precious stones. Please include any appraisals or certifications you have when packaging your
items. Although our company does not pay for loose gemstones, the value of the gemstones in
a piece of jewelry can be added to the weight of the gold, increasing your overall payout.
Because of this advantage to you, we discourage the removal of any stones when sending us
your items. Keep in mind that all customer can choose to accept or reject all offers given out. If
you reject your offer, your items will be sent back to you in the condition received, no questions
asked, and for free.

The value of gold differs every single day and is dependent on the market. Big Cash for Gold
generates offers for customers' items based on the value of gold on the day that they receive
and appraise items from customers. Therefore, there is no general set value for gold.
In order to determine the worth of your gold, the existing market price for gold is taken into
consideration. DWT (pennyweights) is what is used to measure precious metals.
Here’s how it works:

- Once the pick-up is scheduled, one of FedEx’s drivers will arrive at the customer’s home or business at the agreed-upon time to collect the package(s) to be shipped.
- The driver will provide the customer with a receipt with a tracking number. Please keep this till the end of our transaction.
- The package(s) will be transported to a FedEx facility where it will be processed and prepared for delivery.
- The package(s) will be delivered to our facility.
